Developing and directing education programs for professional and student audiences is an important component of Ms. Franck's practice. Over the past ten years she has developed, directed and adminstered educational programs such as the ICA&CA's Certificate in Classical Architecture for Design and Construction Professionals as designed for the AIBD; the Summer Program in Classical Architecture; the Rome and Naples Architectural Drawing Tours; the Continuing Education & Certificate program which reaches over 250 professionals each semester; and the only two American Summer Schools of the Prince of Wales's Foundation.
After serving a teaching appointment in Rome for the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture in 1996 and 1997, she was appointed the first Executive Director of the then named Institute of Classical Architecture (now ICA&CA). Ms. Franck now serves on the Board of Directors of the ICA&CA and the steering committee of INTBAU (The International Network of Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism). In addition to her volunteer work for these organizations, Ms. Franck also speaks regularly to both professional and public audiences about the new renaissance of classical architecture.
In 2002 Ms. Franck was awarded the first Public Service Award of the Prince's Foundation by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for "her outstanding contribution to architectural education and design." |
